DYNAMIC GRID CONTROL
CHALLENGE
To find a way to work more sustainable by combining existing knowledge, assets and new technology.
SOLUTION
- The lightning network that is owned by Vattenfall is overdimensioned meaning that the invested infrastructure is only used partly.
- The number of electric cars will increase.
- New technology makes it possible to send data traffic through electric cables at a far distance.
By analysing the components above the development team came up with a solution on how these could be combined. As a solution a scalable, cost effective and sustainable solution was developed which offered a sustainable solution making people able to charge their vehicles by using the lightning network.
A communication strategy was made during the development process which helped the project to stay focused and resulted in that the service was sold successfully.
RESULT
The project was awarded by ‘Transportföretagen’ who gave the project Dynamic Grid Control a prize of honor based on their sustainable and innovative solution. The project is now in the phase of commercialisation.
